Who is the PAC?

Queensbury PAC is a highly active parent-teacher association that supports Queensbury School. The PAC website provides detailed information about the various activities and initiatives currently underway to enhance the educational experience for students.

PAC Meetings

We would like to invite all parents and Queensbury staff to join our regular PAC meetings. Meetings alternate taking place virtually and in-person. We welcome everyone to join us and find out more about what’s happening at the school, help us make decisions, and have your voice heard.

Attend PAC Meetings: Join us for our regular PAC meetings to stay informed about school happenings and share your valuable input.
Volunteer Opportunities: Participate in our volunteer initiatives, events, and fundraisers, where your time and skills can make a meaningful impact.

Fun Lunch Program

Fun Lunch

Parents, get ready to be the lunchtime heroes your kids deserve! Dive into the world of Fun Lunch with us, and let's make lunchtime the highlight of the school day.

Just some notes about Fun Lunch....

If your child is not at school on the day of a particular Fun Lunch and you have not indicated you will be picking it up by 12:30pm, the meal will be donated to a deserving child who does not have a Fun Lunch ordered for that day.
Please send cutlery on each Fun Lunch day for your child.

Ordering lunch through Munch-a-Lunch is a breeze!

Here's a step-by-step guide to help you navigate the process:

1. Login or Create an Account through the Munch-a-Lunch platform.

2. Select Queensbury Elementary, View the Lunch Menu

Browse through the available menu options.

3. Choose a Lunch Date and Make Your Selections, Add to Cart

4. Review Your Order

Double-check your order in the cart to ensure everything is correct. You can make changes or remove items if needed.

5. Checkout and Payment

On the designated Fun Lunch day, remind your child to look forward to their delicious meal. The school or PAC team will handle the distribution of the ordered lunches.

My child is going to be late, need to leave early or miss a day of school. Who do I notify?

To quickly report an absence to the School Office (illness, leaving early, vacation, late arrival etc), use the SchoolMsgr app, in addition to emailing the teacher.

Note, you can only enter the information if the missed school day has not started. Alternatively, phone the office directly: 604-903-3730 (school office 8:15 am -3:30 pm) .

Students must report to the main office when arriving late to school or leaving early.

Where can I find my child's learning update (report card)?

Learning updates are available through MyEducation BC. You can log in using your child's account information to view and download their report card.

If you have trouble accessing your account, please contact the school office for assistance.

Where can I find the school calendar and bell schedule?

The school calendar, daily schedule and important school dates can be found on the Queensbury Elementary school website.

The PAC also shares important upcoming dates, events and reminders through FreshSchools, so make sure you're registered and receiving notifications.

Can I volunteer at Queensbury?

Absolutely! We love volunteers! There are many ways to get involved at Queensbury, both through the school and the PAC.

Volunteers may help with school activities, PAC events, fundraising initiatives, Fun Lunch, gardening, class activities and more. Some volunteer opportunities require forms or screening through the school.

What is FreshSchools and why should I sign up?

FreshSchools is the PAC’s main communication hub. It keeps everything in one place instead of filling your inbox with endless email chains!

The PAC uses FreshSchools to send our weekly Sunday newsletter, share upcoming events, post volunteer opportunities, provide fundraising updates and send important reminders.

What is Fun Lunch?

Fun Lunch is one of the PAC's popular fundraising programs and a great way to give yourself a break from packing lunches!

Throughout the year, students can order lunch through MunchaLunch from a variety of participating restaurants and food providers. A portion of each order helps support Queensbury PAC initiatives.

Keep an eye on FreshSchools for vendors, ordering deadlines and upcoming Fun Lunch dates.

I have a question about my child's teacher, classroom or school. Should I contact the PAC?

The PAC is here to support and represent the parent community, but we're not the school administration.

For questions about your child's teacher, classroom, attendance, learning, behaviour or day-to-day school matters, your first point of contact should generally be your child's teacher or the school office.

If you have a broader concern or idea relating to the parent community or school-wide experience, the PAC may be able to help point you in the right direction.
